Tell me about Tulpas

I just learned this concept exists from browsing psychonaut wiki

    https://psychonautwiki.org/wiki/Tulpa

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Tulpas/

Tulpas are a part of Tibetan Buddhist culture for thousands of years, but they have been secularized and theorized to be of completely psychological origin within the online community since about 10 years ago or so.. they have a video on encyclopaedia dramatica that I can't access because expired certificate, so you know it's on the up and up. They go by tulpafags or tulpamancers, 90% say it makes their life better. I'm not interested in creating one, I'm aiming to get some more info on the topic.

Some liken it to a form of self induced schizophrenia or DID/MPD but that's not accepted.

Tulpas are delightful flowers, and something all gardeners should grow.

Sounds like a form of fractionating your consciousness, and doing the good ol jolly global warming dance where mankind is the enemy of mankind but now its ur mind is the enemy of ur mind

I only remember hearing about it through Supernatural years ago. the way people seem to be using the idea now just seems to be another cult of 'positive thinking', like that 'the secret' book oprah was peddling
