a mono fucking poly. and theres nothing free market about a mono, fucking, poly.
workers unions are really a protection racket, you pay your dues as a member of the worker gang, and they try to protect you from the other gangs,
such as the manufacturers associations, tobacco groups, etc etc. ie, capitalist gangs.
Uh no that's not what a monopoly is. -

Unions are a good thing.
Free medical care is a good thing.
Welfare is a good thing.
That's socialism, but it's totally fine though.
You can still make money and shit…
Believe it or not, but you can be pro capitalism and pro socialism at the same time. They are not necessarily mutually exclusive.
some degree of 'socialism' is necessary. most people in the US have been conditioned to viscerally hate communism and socialism to justify the wars fought after WWII and to preserve US economic 'soft power', but it's been losing its effect since the end of the cold war and as a result younger generations tend to have less and less of a... socialist gag reflex -

Just because you're poor doesn't mean you're virtuous and deserve something from the rest of us. The reality is, a large segment of poor people are poor because they're awful people - they can't maintain relationships, they can't maintain work, they're lazy and impulsive and lack long term planning - then (like you) they turn around and talk about how rich people fucked them over. This is coming from someone who's from a working class background where my mum had to reuse a cloth several times a day for my shit because we couldn't afford diapers.
"The rich' or "the poor" isn't my enemy you brainwashed MKUlktra throwaway - both segments have awful people that deserve to be killed. -

There often is more than one union in a workplace.
But too many and the whole point of collective bargaining is lost.
Anyway, why aren't you worrying about how little competition there is amongst employers? -

do you have an example ?Anyway, why aren't you worrying about how little competition there is amongst employers?
because thay have gotten a hold of all levers of power and theres nothing you can do against it short of open, violent rebellion.
theres a reason why i thing the best label for them is capital feudalists.
because they categorically are. -

I have worked jobs with multiple unions, and I'm sure many others here have as well. Not that one single union at one single workplace is a monopoly. -

Because the union isn't in the business of selling workers to employers you doof.
They make money but that's not because of any transactions with the employers. They get their union dues from their members and bargain in their interest in their collective stead. And collectively bargaining is way more powerful than splitting into two groups and competing with each other because then the employer is once again in a position to leverage you against one another. -

not the same thing. they dont represent the workers in the same sphere.
as in IAFF will have nothing to do for a postal worker, and whats the last one ?
credit union ? its a loansharking facility.I have worked jobs with multiple unions, and I'm sure many others here have as well. Not that one single union at one single workplace is a monopoly.

in order to be effective protection rackets have to be a monopoly. thats what all the turf wars are for.
to monopolize the whole area.
