Then we can finally put to rest the question "when will games look more detailed than toy story"
Right now games are in this hump where 3D graphics are still in "primitive territory" and even the most advanced looking games like Star Citizen still appear to be lacking in ways. Even games that were developed for photorealism like P.T. still appear lacking and primitive. Half way through the 9th generation games will start hitting that threshold where they are no longer obviously 3D and start to break the barrier of true photorealism. By the 10th generation we will probably have truly photorealistic games, with something like the 10th generation Heavy Rain possibly looking like real life.
I'm really curious what games that will make the most of PS5's capabilities will look like I'm not going to get my hopes up (already let down with the 7th and 8th gens) but I have some hope, some developers have said that the PS5 is the most radical improvement of any Playstation generation yet ..... that's a pretty major promise considering how big of a leap going from the PS1 to PS2 was.

I loled at how hyped up that game was because of the graphics, then its sequel came out on the PS3 and Xbox 360 and graphically it was no different from any other contemporary FPS so there wasn't anything to set it apart and gameplay wise it was just a generic shooter.
