   The forum software doesn't have to come with a custom web based IRC client. You can just download a client and connect to a room someone set up.

    That's pretty cool. It could have been lainchan, we have a pretty decent amount of tech posters here, people know their shit in general. Also, idk, what a link to here would do on /jp/ but i am not complaining. Probably was posted by Antinatalism. (If you're reading this i love you[no homo i promise]).

    It was pretty well done tbh. So basically, we got a couple people from the chans here recently, they include you, cerakote, antinatlism. And i am sure some others as well. I think that's pretty dope, i tend to drift between chans, this forum, some specialized IT forums and the normie net on occasion.

    i used to browse about a dozen small text and imageboards but nowadays it's just 2 or 3 /jp/ spinoffs, two 4chan RSS feeds, forums for games im into and this place. they're all pretty slow in general so there's no need to F5 24/7 like i used to do when i first found out about 4chan. i probably wasted more time on chans than some african kids get to live lol.
    it's just better that way
