    Less than 24 hours after Trump says he is going to bring troops home, he deploys 1,800 to Saudi Arabia

    This makes a total of 14,000 extra troops Trump has deployed this year.

    So much for that 'anti-war' shit.

    Actually it does concern me, as so many people I know are turned weird too.

    Like for instance the other day someone was telling me about how going to Kenya/the Ivory Coast was dangerous, then came out with "but black people are just like us inside", then told me about a film called 12 years a slave and how it really happened and it was so sad.

    When I told her that I think people are born with personalities, and pointed out her kids as an example, and that I wasn't sure that black people and white people and asian people were all the same inside.

    Then she told me how all the black people she had worked with were lazy.

    It was like right there, someone trying to resolve the bullshit lessons they had learned from fiction with their own lived experiences.

    And I see that all the time, and it does concern me, and unfortunately I cannot just ignore it the way I can the turks and kurds. Seriously, fuck the turks and the kurds.

    I don't agree with it cos it turns people into zombies.

    I guess I shouldn't be concerned with encouraging people to think for themselves and not all follow the lead of a gaggle of jedis in the new york times newsroom (literally a cabal of jedis meeting in a manhattan skyscraper).

    For instance do you even realise that you've just taken a routine shuffling of forces, literally to keep up with the maintenance schedules of aircraft carriers, and make a big political talking point about it.

    The carrier USS Harry S Truman, which was scheduled to deploy to the region in the last several weeks, has been unable to sail due to a broken electrical distribution system. The current carrier in the region, USS Abraham Lincoln, is rescheduled to end its deployment in the next several days.
    That has now led to the need for additional capability in the region to replace what a carrier airwing can provide.
