Feeding chickens

Got a lot of chickens? Cut a milk jug in half and drill a bunch of holes in it. Put the cap on the milk jug and attach it to a post upside down. Put a fish or a piece of meat in the top/bottom of the jug and let the flies get to it. Flies make maggots, maggots fall out of the holes, chickens eat the maggots. It also works with compost heaps because chickens are dirty birds.
The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

kill one of the chicks to be used as food for maggots to make it 100% "sustainable".
