Quite the contrary. It had everything to do with smashing world peace. Same thing with the guns. They want to disarm all the law-abiding citizens so they'll be all that easier to enslave in the end. I'm not talking about ethnicity, there are Syrian Kurds.
What I mean is that the majority of the SDF were pre-existing YPG/PKK veterans from Turkey, Iraq/Kurdistan etc. who don't necessary represent the interests of the Syrian locals, or even the local Kurdish communities. -

kurd people and culture existed long before the formation of modern day syria / iraq turkey.
