I don't have a moral system. Just things that I know are right and wrong, and it's mostly based around what hurts others and what doesn't.
Cheating on your spouse, the one person you're supposed to be completely honest with? That's wrong.
Stealing from someone who would be hurt by it? That's wrong.
Stealing from a corporation? I don't do it, but it's not wrong.
I just don't believe in blindly following a religious text. You can believe in a God or higher power and not follow some archaic and outdated set of rules like a vapid sheep stumbling through life on a guideline.
I don't actually care about the junkie stuff but it riles Sudo up. The cheating and being an absentee father? Yeah that's immoral in my book. Morals need to be fluid, ever changing, and situational. Abrahamic religions aren't exactly up to par in that regard. It's fine if you want to break some rules that don't hurt anybody (like ignoring lent, or not circumcising your babies, or eating pork once in a while) but I have a hard time respecting someone who claims to follow a particular version of a particular god, but still acts immorally in ways that hurt others.
Thankfully not all theists are like that, and most of them, like most people in general, are good natured and moral human beings. -

I texted my ex tonight and I think that she probably added me just because she probably heard about what happened with me, she hasn't seemed too eager to respond and neither have I, but I'm playing it cool, not giving away anything personal in the likely case she's being a creep. I feel like the next text I get should sum it up pretty well. I've learned that giving away personal information is always a liability somehow, just how much, and is it worth giving it away?
