Only Military jets can do this. those Jets were beefed up Military style. Not blaming Military, blaming guys in the MIC who built them to look like 757 and 767. anything below 8000 feet will have too much windsheer to fly that fast and point it directly at a narrow target about the same width as the plane itself. jets slow down to take off speeds.. the planes are fighting the gravity upon landing and use the windsheer as a cushion to glide the plane down and forward. nearly hovering. I had a pilot tell me that when they land, they apply just enough force (in most landings-- depending on wind speeds) to fall and push up at the same time.. to glide it in. otherwise the landings would have a really hard impact and most passengers would not have a good experience relating in back problems.
how the fuck do you fail trying to fly a Cesna 172 and have no problem doing what most Seasoned pilots can't do in a simulator the first few times?
