He said it has to do with the Ukraine and that he has documents from the state dept. that they need to see, urgently.

2019-10-02 at 1:56 AM UTCIt might actually not be related to the impeachment proceedings though. Zelensky is trying to to find a way to normalise relations with the DPR/LPR and Poroshenko, Tymoshenko and half of the Rada (their parliament) want his blood for it.

fyi - if you're not aware, the 'kyiv post' is written and run by lunatics but it's a good barometer for the far-right opinion in the Ukraine.
Basically Zelensky signed the 'Steinmeir Formula' which paves the way for special independent status of the breakaway regions. He's trying to stop himself from getting either deposed or suicided by telling the nationalists he wants 'Russians and militants' out of the regions before elections can be held, but the document he's signed has no such preconditions. -

I don't know about the rest of them but the Ukraine trying to normalise relations with the breakaway regions and by extension, Russia is definitely something that the State Department wants to be on top of immediately.
