Having another beer and stiffing the waiter

Instead of tipping, putting it towards another beer. I'm far from where I live and will likely not be back to this Buffalo Wild Wings for at least a year.

I'm paying in gift cards and can make it look like I meant to tip with no balance left.

    Why not?

I actually have way more than the average person. I guess I'm just cheap and looking to save. I'm estimating I made at least $300 cash today tax free and will collect at least $300 tomorrow, plus some freebies.

My hotel room is free, gas free, diner free, breakfast was free, Starbucks and pumpkin bread free. Living quite well.

Then don't stiff the waiter. They rely on your tips. If you wanna be cheap do it in a way which hurts the business and not the staff.

I'm already paying in gift cards. So the meal is free. But I haven't checked into my hotel and I'd like to swim in the indoor pool. Plus there's free cheap breakfast. I had another beer and I'm ready to blow this place...

    That's just pathetic and unethical.

Even when I was down to my last 50, I have never stiffed a waiter.

    I didn't stiff.

Total was like $35. I paid using two $16 gift cards and left a $5 bill.

Look, worling for tips you win some you lose some.

If you cant afford to tip dont hold that against someone. Tipping is optional except when its not due to gay MOON PERSONs

If you dont wanna tip you dont have to tip. It's not UNETHICAL, lol. I guarantee you some dumb BWW waitress is making plenty of money regardless. And if shes not, then she will LEARN to do a better job or work somewhere where she doesnt have to rely on potential tips to make a living.

In fact if everyone just stopped tipping, businesses would be forced to pay a normal wage for servers just like they do for everyone else not making tips. If that doesn't seem right, then places should start doing tip sharing and giving a percentage to the cooks/dishwashers who more often than not end up making less than the servers do on any given night, despite working longer and harder.

    Fucking servers goddamn FAGGOTS. :D

It's unethical if you can afford it. You're just mad because you're a little back end bitch boy who doesn't get tips but has to hear about all the cutie 17 year olds getting 50 dollar tips when they still need someone over 21 to bring out the wine glasses.

Yeah that certainly plays a factor. Because it's true. And I dont go to them bitching because they make tips and I dont, but plenty servers have no qualms bitching to me about how some table stiffed them as if I give a fuck.

I mean, I hate people who bitch at work like that, but it's a genuine concern. Tips could be the difference between you making minimum wage or a living wage.

As a rule I tip 15% unless they were just plain terrible.

Except it is NOT a genuine concern. In my 3xperience it's very few and far between to find a server who is genuinely struggling to make ends meet because a few tables here and there didnt leave a tip. And I mean if you worked somewhere where you desperately relied on every table leaving you a decent tip in order to make a "liveable wage" you should probably consider working somewhere else or getting a second job.

    Wat.

Do you not remember Bill Krozby just a few days ago posting about how he barely made anything, and also that his boss wasn't willing to comp him so that he was making AT LEAST minimum wage? Remember that?

How the fuck can you say people aren't struggling. Maybe you aren't, because you live in a cheap area and don't have any kids. But plenty of people are struggling working as waitresses/waiters.

Also lol @ 'get a better/another job'. Sure, let's blame it on the people and not the institutions that made it this way.

I hate tipping but I do it. That's why I have salt and pepper shakers all over my kitchen and dining room.

Take note of how I said in MY experience. I'm not suggesting that there arent servers struggling to make ends meet, I'm suggesting that they are few and far between, and those that are are working at places that are probably mom and pop joints or otherwise about ready to go out of business.

It's not a coincidence that waitressing is like the number one liveable wage job for females that never went to college and have no technical skills.

And what would you do if you weren't making enough money to live? Bitch about tips or do something to figure it out ?

    The institutions?

Good lorde friend, as if papa laguita's family mexican grill pays that much worse than buffalo wild wings? They're basically the same until you get to nicer restaurants, which again, family vs chain doesn't make THAT much of a difference on average. I don't know if that's true or not, but neither do you and it sounds right. If 2 mexican immigrants starting a restaurant is an "institution" than go bitch and moan to them about how institutionalizing they're being.

Bill Bill Krozbyby has terrible spending habits, I don't know how much his rent is and don't care, I think he lives in a house by himself in a major city, so he's clearly gonna spend a lot of his checks on rent unless his parents own it or something. He's an alcoholic who eats cheesesteaks and pizza every day, smokes weed, does other drugs, so yeah that's gonna cost a lot, and he's not a WAITER he's a barback, so of course he gets a smaller cut of the tips than a waiter or a bartender.
