Would it be possible to train yourself to lucid dream and stay in dreamspace for several hours

Every time I become lucid I have to immediately focus intensely on what I'm doing otherwise I slip back into autopilot.
Someday I would like to learn how to master the art of lucid dreaming and with that said, I wonder if it's possible to lucid dream for several hours without brain damage or sickness, I bring that up because every time I have a lucid dream I wake up feeling weird and I have a sort of headache.
How would a person go about training themselves to be better at lucid dreaming?

    inb4 "meditate" (go fuck yourself)

I've only had one or two lucid dreams in my life. I took a nap earlier though, and i had a false awakening. Never had that before, i stood up, got off the bed, looked around, noticed everything was dark. As in not entirely dark but there was an unnatural sort of light in the room. I thought, huh, that's strange. Then i thought wait a second, i've been bamboozled, i'm still asleep! And then i woke up for real and everything was normal again.

    That's happened to me before.
I would look around the room while in bed and then realize I'm still in dreamspace.

Have you ever had a dream or woke up in the middle of sleep where you're yelling?
Sometimes I'll have a dream that is so bizarre of frightening I'll wake up and just lie there feeling mindfucked, or I'll wake up from sleep having a panic attack yelling and then come down from that and go back to sleep.
    Maybe it's alcohol detox idk.

No never. I don't so much as talk in my sleep at least according to my gf. I get bizarre and messed up dreams from time to time but my brain does a pretty good job at paralyzing me while i sleep.
