Are there places where people actually live in sewers/tunnel systems?

I'm playing Deus Ex Mankind Divided and I'm exploring the sewers/tunnels of Prague, there are a bunch of homeless living under there and I got to wondering, in the 3DPD dimension are there people that live in tunnels and sewers?
It's actually kinda cool but I imagine the smell must be horrible plus you could be bitten by diseased rats.

    .......

There are supposedly vampires that live in the tunnels underground here. Most cities don't have that many tunnels but we're in "Flash flood alley" so the army corps of engineers had to build a shitload of tunnels so the city wouldn't flood.

Never seen any rats in them, but there are bats, snakes, and all kinds of giant fish and turtles. They don't stink unless you're in a sewage tunnel which isn't the same as a flood tunnel.

The interviewer kinda looks like me when I was younger. Weird. People do die in those tunnels every once in a while, they get drowned in a flood, or die of disease, or murder.

Reminds me of that episode of trailer park boys where ricky needs weed real bad and the only guy they can think of to get it from lives in a drainage tunnel, and he's psychotic when they get there, and immediately starts shooting at them.

The main problem with living in a tunnel other than floods would be dust. They're incredibly dusty and if you're near any standing water that can be a health hazard because of the bacteria. I saw this homeless guy living in a ditch once and he was completely bonkers. I figured it had to be the bacteria and dust that got into his brain and drove him mad over time.

It was daylight when you woke up in your ditch. You looked up at your sky. Then, that made blue be your color. You had your knife there with you too. When you stood up there was goo all over your clothes. Your hands were sticky. You wiped them on your grass, so now your color was green. Oh Lord, why did everything always have to keep changing like this? You were already getting nervous again. Your head hurt and it rang when you stood up. Your head was almost empty. It always hurt you when you woke up like this. You crawled up out of your ditch onto your gravel road and began to walk, waiting for the rest of your mind to come back to you. You can see the car parked far down the road and you walked toward it. "If God is our father," you thought, "then Satan must be our cousin." Why didn't anyone else understand these important things? You got to your car and tried all the doors. They were locked. It was a red car and it was new. There was an expensive leather camera case laying on the seat. Out across your field, you could see two tiny people walking by your woods. You began to walk towards them. Now red was your color, and of course, those little people out there were yours too

Sounds like a decent place to hide if you were on the run for murder or something. Only problem would be obtaining food and clean water/bathing regularly without getting caught. Imagine traveling in between states to a refuge through sewer tunnels
