   "If anybody wants to know, here is the difference between the 3 languages. Cantonese is a DIALECT spoken in Hong Kong and some other provinces in the south of China. It's not the official language but a lot of people speak it. Mandarin is dubbed by Taiwan, who considers itself to be an independent nation from (mainland) China. And Putonghua is dubbed by (mainland) China. Mandarin and Putonghua are spoken EXACTLY THE SAME. Personally, I don't see the point of having both a Mandarin and Putonghua dubbing, but there are legal issues involved. 'Tis why."
