What is the defense to aggressive cyberstalking?

I mean the kind of person that trys to ram maliscious content onto a persons social media pages so that people will see horrible things being said about them and rumours started and icky pictures posted on their pages and in their comments and on their friends pages and rumours and threats spread to their friends and whatnot?

What is a person's defense to this? Wouldn't the average person be utterly unable to have their reputation not damaged to a great extent from a person who is really good at covering their tracks?

Simple. Not being a social media pundit who can't spend 5 minutes without taking a selfie or texting over 8000 people about 1st world problems. I.e, not having social media ([sarcasm]GASP! Is that even possible?! O.O What will we become if we can't flex our instant noodles to a bunch of normies! Blasphemy![/sarcasm])
