The rpg mechanics in that sucked ass and made everything else suck ass, also fuck the devs for making every simple trip down the road require 8 diversions.

I first played it when it came out but I don't think I finished it.
I bought the remaster for PS4 and have played it a little.
It's a good game I just wish they went for more of an exploration and RPG path rather than a pure FPS.

I played Bioshock once and i was depressed the whole time, didn't wanna murder all the lolis for delicious ADAM. It was like IRL but more violent.

Has some frustrating parts where many of the splicers towards the end became bullet sponges.

Dont think I will be playing any of the other Bioshock games though, never really heard any reviews regarding them.

    Anyone else played it?

I've played through it multiple times and beat it on the hardest difficulty or whatever years ago when it came out. Bioshock 1 is a classic and has a great narrative in itself, but 2 and infinite have much better gameplay and make the story absolutely insane. I would recommend playing all of them.

It was a missed opportunity considering the level design.
First off it should have played like Deus Ex gameplay wise, they should have started you off with the city functioning and show how it tears apart and descends into chaos.
I walk around wanting to interact with the world like an FPSRPG but it's just a run-of-the-mill FPS as far as gameplay goes.

The two biggest problems I had with Bio Shock were A: some technical issues on PC (need to tweak the game to expand FOV and kill mouse accel for example) and B: it not being System Shock. Got BioShock 2 but the first one disappointed me so much I don't think I'll ever play it.

As for recommendations for something not too heavy .. STALKER series. MGS V. DMC3 and DMC4 (get Special Editions for both). If you're into Weeb Shit, Tokyo Xanadu, Agarest series, Rabi-Ribi and Neptunia series. If you're into RTS, C&C3 Tiberium Wars with the "Tiberium Essence 1.6" mod mounted on top of it.

If you ever wanted to mod the maps to have more Cortex Reavers, or if you wanted to play with LV4 shield while still on the Citadel, you can now.

As for STALKER ... I'll just leave this here:

A ... Chipmunk ... With a weebish Belle Delphine avatar ... I thought I have seen as much as I could see. Far and wide I have traveled. Furries, weebs and gamer girls I have seen. But it never dawned upon me to combine all those. I hereby stand in awe ...

Back on track. Recently, this happened:

Especially excited about the Cortex Reavers being back. I was seriously beginning to doubt SS3, what with almost 0 communication from the dev team since it's inception, and what I was sure I did NOT want was another BioShock. But I'm pleasantly surprised.

Not to the point where I'll pre-order it but .. It's intriguing, at the very least. Thoughts, lads?
