    like the year 1900

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1900

    Let's take a look at some important events that took place that year;

    John Douglas the 9th Marquess of Queensberry died that year. Interesting fact, he is a main character on a cartoon show made by Mike Tyson called "Mike Tyson Mysteries", check it out on Netflix

    This is also the same year that Milton S. Hershey introduces his chocolate bar in the United States.. hmm the name sounds familiar

    Another event that happened, The United States and the United Kingdom sign a treaty for the Panama Canal. Did you know that after they expanded the canal they had to invent an entire new class of ships called NEOPANAMAX?

    Max Planck announced his findings on black body radiation this year, along with Einsteins theory formed the two cornerstones of physics.

    They were still dealing with the bubonic plague in 1900...

    April 30 - Hawaii becomes an official U.S. territory.

    May 21 – Russia invades Manchuria.

    June 27 – The London Underground's Central London Railway opens.

    July 2 - The first zeppelin flight is carried out over Lake Constance, near Friedrichshafen, Germany.

    September 25 – In the British general election, the recently formed Labour Party gains two seats. Winston Churchill is also elected to Parliament for the first time.

    November 3 – The first Auto show in the United States opens at New York City's Madison Square Garden.

    One day I hope to be old enough that someone is astonished I was alive in the 1900's.
