   In my experience benzos are not as euphoric as alcohol.. they are intoxicating but they aren't actually pleasurable like alcohol is. Alcohol does a whole bunch of stuff other than gaba and probably does gaba differently itself
   
   Ive taken both within some months for various reasons and ativan surprised me with how dysphoric and shitty it made me feel, and alcohol surprised me with how much better it tastes in wine form and that it's a lot stronger than I remember/kicked some pretty thuggish shadow people really hard in the tushy when nothing else was working (seroquel, lamictal, gab, tram)

   Benzos are only good for anxiety imo. They're not fun to me. And I've tried more than a few
