I would quit minecraft and weed tbh. They're both kiddy things. Girls don't give a shit about Minecraft, because no matter how impressive your in-game achievements in Minecraft are, they aren't real, and I don't think weed does anyone's mental health any favours.

I don’t know how Fona acts at home, so I can’t say this goes for him, but everyone needs an outlet. Man or woman. I’d rather have my man playing Minecraft than out drinking. And I have my own outlets as well. Gotta be healthy apart to be healthy together.

I think the problem with Minecraft is how easy it is to put a crazy number of hours into it. Everything about the game is designed to reward continuous play - even the way the game is so slow to load seems designed to discourage you from playing casually for 15 minutes or whatever.
For instance I started playing today at about 11am, and it was 2am by the time I quit - so that's 15 hours. Of course I was doing other things too but that's an insane length of time to play a game no matter what.
And weed affects different people differently, but one thing it does is reduce your ambition, so you accept doing that as being OK.
Shell sounds like she doesn't want her bf becoming a bum teenager, or a college kid who is away from home for the first time so becomes a complete slob and plays video games all day. No one likes that.

Last Saturday I got high and pretty much played all day. You stop giving a fuck about setting limits.
Not with minecraft but I've played games so much before that I dream about them. That is some fucked shit when you go to bed playing a game, sleep playing a game, and wake up to play more of that same game.
I just got a job today tho so hopefully this doesn't happen with minecraft
