2019-09-03 at 7:36 PM UTCPeople Can’t Believe How Easily Kim Jong Un ‘Played’ Donald Trump
“Kim has ridden Trump like a pony.”
By Lee Moran
President Donald Trump is accused of being “played” by North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un as the Hermit Kingdom advances its weapons arsenal.
Trump has repeatedly downplayed North Korea’s missile test launches in recent weeks. But The New York Times reported Monday that U.S. intelligence officials now think Trump’s stance has actually allowed Kim to “test missiles with greater range and maneuverability that could overwhelm American defenses in the region.” -

Originally posted by RottenRobert Trump is raising your taxes today
With far less fanfare than the tax cuts President Donald Trump signed into law in 2017, a series of tax hikes goes into effect today on thousands of everyday items imported from China.
A new tariff of 15% will be added to the cost of more than 40% of all consumer products imported from China on Sept. 1. That amounts to about $109 billion worth of annual imports, according to research firm Panjiva. On Dec.15, the 15% tariff will be assessed on another $155 billion worth of consumer goods from China. At that point, there will be new Trump tariffs on virtually everything imported from China.
Trump has already imposed 25% tariffs on about $250 billion worth of Chinese imports, but those are mostly component products consumers never see. Those tariffs have led to some price increases, with some importers also taking a hit through lower profits. In some cases, Chinese suppliers have lowered their own prices to offset the tariff. Importers have also begun seeking new suppliers outside China, to avoid the tax.
A $1,000 annual tax on the typical US household
JPMorgan Chase estimates the tariffs already in place and scheduled to go into effect will cost the typical American household more than $1,000 per year.
Yeah Trump's taxes are insane. As a small businesses owner and someone who has been involved in small American business since i was a kid, Trump is fucking awful. His import taxes especially are 1840's level bad. -

not sure why you'd be backing yet another US war of aggression though -

It was just a sardonic statement with little intent on my part. I'm feeling like I have been shit on enough in this lifetime after today.
so fuck the planet. I'm no hero. I didn't start this campaign of wars for power. Every country has their chest beaters. I gain nor lose anything out of this that hasn't already been given and taken away from me.
fuck do I care. Fuck the World -
2019-09-04 at 2:50 AM UTCI think a Chinese or Korean (one of the smart ones) doomsday cult should just invest in figuring out the technology for building nukes and refining uranium, then open source it. It would set the world aflame.

the actual method isn't that hard as far as I understand it, just takes a LOT of industrial capacity and raw materials
chemical weapons are a much better option for the home doomsday enthusiast -

I know a compression nuke isn't super complex but it's the Uranium enrichment that gets em. -
