IDK, i don't know much about the situation in Hong Kong in general. I've heard people equating it to a 'color revolution'. But honestly i don't enough about the situation to definitively take a side as it were. But i am biased i suppose, because China is communist cyber dystopia personified. -

The thing I don't know is how well-supported these 'protests' are among the population. They're definitely being fueled externally though, being funded by the NED and largely organised out of the US embassy.
FYI the video in OP was a response to rioters trashing and shutting down multiple MTR/subway stations
