Do you donate blood? If not, how come? Banned (like me) or just don't want to?
-
2019-08-30 at 5:48 AM UTCI first inquired about donating blood years ago, but discovered that I am barred for life due to having used intravenous drugs.
My dad is a regular donor, and then you have those commercials and everything...
Like, I totally would, but I'm banned for life.
I suppose I could just lie. I never once shared a needle.
But these criteria exist for a reason.
What about y'all? -
2019-08-30 at 6 AM UTCDo you know your blood type?
Believe it or not I am literally type O negative.
I haven't donated blood in as long as I can remember.
Every time these "mass shootings" happen , Facebook will blow up with girls bragging about donating blood and it just makes me want to not donate. Which I dont.
I like my blood
It's my blood.
Nobody else can have it. -

Unethical life pro tip: if you don't want to share your blood or organs, start injecting drugs. -

Or just get some money off of the next person you fuck...Examples of HIV high-risk activities include, but are not limited to:
A person who has taken money or drugs for sex since 1977.

I don't know...
I could probably donate blood if I just told them what they want to hear.
Like I said, I never once shared a needle, so I'd be pretty confident in claiming that I am, for all intents and purposes, NOT an IV user.
And they'd probably take my word for it; and they'd be completely right to do so.
Maybe I will one day.
The second I bring it (the truth) up with them, though, is the second they discard of my contribution.
People generally don't just kick an IV opiate habit. I pretty much don't expect ever to be trusted as "drug-free" for as long as I live. -

Well for what it's worth I would let you donate blood to me regardless of anything. -
