I had Archie and I had Speed Racer (Like an early form of Japanese Anime) and I had a Casper one with the three ghost on it as well but I probably had like 10 of the things in my youth.
the thing about those where the thermos would always shatter if you dropped the fucker. the glass inside wasn't very strong like the older ones from the 50s or 60s. but they had lead or some shit in them. by the 1970s they had silver-glass with probably mercury shit in it. My Mother always thought I would purposely break the fucking thing. it was usually some kids slapping it out of my hands who were older.
My mother just started giving me lunch money after that. School food back then was nasty as fuck. Soy burgers (like half meat half soy) where decent. but the Burritos were nasty as fuck. hot dogs with tator-tots were decent. My favorite was Tuna Boats with the cheese sail and the tator tots was the best lunch.. it always came with a Malt Chocolate Milk. (Like a foster freeze chocolate malt)
