I have an older tv tuner card"Hauppauge hvr-1255"this thing just stopped working I did a re-scan and all the channels showed but they dont play.
I rep-positioned the antenna and shit but I only get one local station #7- The fractional stations come in fine.
WTF? why I used to get everything no problem so I hooked up my bigscreen tv to the antenna and I got most of the stations I used to get.
I know there was supposed to be a change in format this summer and all you had to do was a rescan but that didn't work for me.
You think I just have to upgrade my card? or Is there A new codec that people just aren't talking about?

You need a digital one now. All the old OTA frequencies have been repurposed for cellular bands.

Try rescanning after a full reinstall of the card and drivers.

    It's a windows 10 problem.
I booted into an old windows 8 partition with media player and the card works fine!!
I don't know why I didn't think of that earlier.
