The GDP has been growing consistently for decades upon decades. Even during the last recession it continued to grow, just at a much slower rate. Pointing out the GDP is the highest it's ever been is like saying Trump is doing a good job because the year is the highest number it's ever been.
What has Trump done specifically to grow it, and how does that compare to other policies and what is the outlook for it's continued growth? -
2019-08-24 at 2:44 PM UTCYou libtards blame Trump for all the bad things that happen yet refuse to give him credit for anything positive.
We see right through your bullshit including this recession is coming tirade.
Repeat a lie long enough... -

No, it's that dumbass Trump supporters want to suck his dick for simply showing up and not completely fucking up.
The economy has been improving for years. I'm happy to give Trump credit that thus far he didn't fuck that up completely, he of course could have done worse.
However the reality is, Obama was handed a shitty economy and then for the rest of his term it grew. Trump was handed a booming economy, and it's continued to boom at more or less exactly the same rate....meanwhile all the people who were spazzing out on Obama for being supposedly terrible economically are guzzling Trumps ball juice for simply not failing. -

But wait.. I thought he was doing such a terrible job? Shouldn't those numbers then be going down, and steeply? -

Not necessarily, no. For one YOU are the one who is claiming that he is doing a good job. Me asking you to back up that claim is not the same as arguing he is doing a bad job.
Also, YOU are the one arguing those metrics are the most important benchmarks. I can feel he hasn't fucked those up (yet) while still feeling he's fucking up other places that may or may not be more important. I don't like that he blew up the deficit just for a huge giveaway to the rich for example. -

The wealthy got a lot of breaks and a big improvement over what they were paying before. The middle class got some extremely minor bones thrown to them. Saying it's not a "tax cut for the rich" simply because everyone got a little something is disingenuous and ignores the actual distribution of benefits. -

Not at all. I've got better things to do than argue with dumbass edgelords though...I actually have a job to get back to on monday. If you want to put together a reasoned argument with data instead of just saying "orange man good" over and over again I'll be happy to listen and possibly be convinced. -

As I said in the beginning it's sort of moot anyway, since the economy doing well doesn't prevent it from backsliding.
I can't dick around on this dumbassery any more, I've got stuff to do. If you want to actually articulate something instead of just repeatedly posting graphs showing Trump is doing at best, an average job on those particular metrics, I'll listen. -

By now, it’s plain to see that tariffs are inflicting harm on the American economy and will continue to do so unless the administration changes course.
The U.S. needs free and fair trade, but imposing tariffs to get there is the wrong approach.
