   the first time I saw rick and morty was a couple of summers ago, this chicken i was tripping with on my bday gave me some codeine to chill down and put on rick and morty but I saw it later on and it was pretty bad. I see where their going with it and some of it is "funny" but its mostly a show for soi bois and feminist that watch it on the reg, such as ape he's literally wearing a rick and morty t-shirt he got from target right now on tc while chugging juice.
   
   its just the new family guy basically but the throwbacks aren't as obvious because its all pretty obvious anyways.

You didn't give any examples of how it's LIKE Family Guy, and the context you used that in suggested you were referring to the popularity, or "bandwagon" if you will, not the style.
