    Drink lots of liquor. You will be exponentially more depressed when you aren't drunk but for at least a few minutes during your drinking session you will feel totally normal or even better.

    It's true that its difficult to feel depressed when you are accomplishing things. I would not listen to my doctor unless it was an obvious physical malady, ie. no anti-depressants, no psychiatrists. No psychologists either unless you have absolutely no other social interaction. The flip side of "accomplishing" things by the standards of society is that it's meaningless and draining, hence why you are depressed to begin with. I don't intend to work until retirement age, so baring some miracle that probably involves killing myself.

    Also cold. Cold is good. More people suicide in the spring than in the winter.

    My other advice would be those little pills that are designed to counteract your depression, I forget what they're called.

    That's because it has scientific basis. Exercise, sunlight, being outside. Maybe you just go for walks in depressing places.
