How could a kid possibly understand how those changes will affect them in adult life when they've never had a chance to experience adult life?
This is why children tend to live in the here and now. Every decision they make is based 100% on the here and now. Just because as a child the idea might sound fun, they would be seeing it as something that sounds lime fun now, like a game that they play. Only a truly irresponsible parent would even dream of considering allowing their child to make such a genuinely retarded mistake in their lives. This should genuinely be a reason for CP's to be taking children into foster care, its literally abuse to do that to your child.

the age of consent, where attributed to sex, was originally 'imagined up' in an attempt to protect young teenage girls who were being exploited into prostitution by unscrupulous pimps in the 19th century.
back then it was a common problem where pimps were taking advantage of young immature girls who were defenseless and pretty much unable to say no to older men who would also take practically every penny they earned to boot. in order to do something to protect young girls from this, the lawmakers were faced with a dilemma. it was already illegal to be a prostitute and to live off immoral earnings, and that wasn't stopping it, so obviously that wasn't going to be an effective deterrent. so they brought in the age of consent making it illegal for an adult to have sexual relations with any girl under the age of, i believe it was 13 back then, which then subsequently rose eventually to 16. over the generations the original reason for the age of consent has been mostly forgotten and the majority of people don't put much more thought into why the age of consent is in place beyond 'because its disgusting'. current day lawmakers enforce it for pretty much the same reason that we're arguing against here for kids getting sex changes, mental immaturity makes kids prone to making bad decisions. many kids if you offered them to have their favorite animal face painting permanently tattoo'd on their faces would likely say yes as a kid, but obviously would live to regret it for the rest of their lives. yeah maybe a few wouldn't, but its a far better policy to make them wait and get face tattoos when they are an adult and in a better position to make that decision, than to allow them as a child when we know the likelihood of them growing up to regret it is extremely high. it would be obvs very irresponsible to allow it and only a moron like yourself bennt with your alterior motive would suggest otherwise.
