2019-08-10 at 4:35 PM UTCi was thinking about this just the other week. you can put your btc into a paper wallet, literally it just gives you a pass and btc addy to print out on paper to keep in a safe or whatever. plus people put them on flash drives and lose them or they get stolen by people who don't have the passwords. there are loads of ways that odd btc get lost permanently. there will be a point in time eventually where every single btc will be lost forever. obvs the price will rise as they become rare, just like old coins etc. altho there also has to come a point where there are so few btc that nobody bothers to use them to trade which will also affect there value, probably in the opposite direction. and unlike physical objects like coins they hold little collectible value.
