it was hard man. It's like an addiction. Now that all my computers are nice and have 8+ GB of ram I've completely lost the ability to realize when I'm never coming back to something. Feels bad man

Don't you use a session manager? I have countless saved sessions I'll likely never see again.

How many fuckin tabs did you leave open and why not just close the whole thing and start over lol.

Some of us actually read things that are important.

Nope, will usually group tabs into separate windows and minimize them but that's about it.

yeah, mostly because I open things because I want to read them and I still do, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I do actually get back to most of them given enough time but every now and then I have to go back through being realistic about what I'm going to get to in the immediate future.

if it was important you wouldn't need to leave it minimised for months

I did end up bookmarking them. Keeping them open in a tab just keeps them in view, I have some sense of what my backlog is. Network is unlimited and I'm usually on power so a few extra cycles in maintaining them doesn't hurt anything. Also I don't think I've ever deleted a bookmark so getting over eager with them just leads to lots of scrolling, or work categorizing.

i dont care what anyone says in this thread...to have 60 tabs open is ridiculous... thats like the next step towards whording new papers and receipts... if the info was so important to you , you just remember it lol

    then whats the point?

Malice, why don't you just bookmark? Remove bookmark when done. It's easy, and you can organize it a lot better than a session manager or huge stretch of tabs. Really, if you need much more than that then you may as well start taking notes.

the point is I haven't read it yet, how am I supposed to have memorized something I haven't even seen? You might say "if it's that important you'd have just read it by now" which is also naïve, it's perfectly reasonable to have a higher rate of discovery of reading material than consumption for periods of time.

I usually have at least 5 tabs open at a time and up to 40-50. Though i dont really mind closing them , which eventually happens after a few days. Sometimes ill get so into a subject/hobby and open tons of videos and websites about it. Used to know a guy with hundreds of tabs open at a time. Usually had 5 - 7 different chrome browsers open all with max tabs

I usually have no more than 6 tabs open. Three in firefox for youtube, image search and normie things. Three in TOR for forums, twitter and SEC or the occasional CP of course.

Well back in MYYY day we didn't have tabs, and if you wanted to view a new site you just had to fucking say goodbye to the old one. You kids have it so easy these days. *shakes cane*

Pfft. When I was a kid we couldn't afford canes to shake. We had a stick, and we carved it, and we liked that.

A cane is a carved stick, if we're being frank here.
