2019-07-29 at 8:08 PM UTCIf you are going to buy one buy a vintage one, The new cassette players are all shit, there is one company left in the world making the mechanism so no matter which cassette player you buy it's the same shitty mechanism in it. On top of that Dolby stopped licensing their noise reduction system so you can't buy a new deck with it.
Go git you some vintage goodness. -
2019-07-30 at 12:04 PM UTCI have far too much clutter in my house already.
If I owned a tape right now I would chuck it in the bin, and I don't have any requirement for a tape deck, being antiquated and obsolete technology. -

I think there are vinyl players around here, at least I have seen some. And at least they look cool. But hopefully they have all been sold.
Tapes don't even look cool, they just suck. A bad beta version.
Not defending CDs or minidiscs or anything either - they also suck.
MP3s are the only sane format. -
2019-07-30 at 12:09 PM UTCWhistling is the best format.

2019-07-30 at 5:28 PM UTCSo I have changed my mind and decided to release my album on CD instead of cassette.
The cds will probably be packaged in a digipack design, however I might come up with a different idea later idk. -

Will there be a CD release party? I've been to a few of those...they are always laughable...the dude, his band, his mom and girlfriend and a couple of people he works with. -

You don't have to be so critical.
That sounds like a very wholesome and fun event, I'd like to go to those.
Anyhoo there won't be any release event, at least not at this point in my existence during this timeline.
You're free to host a party on your own in celebration of my album's release. -
2019-07-30 at 5:55 PM UTCJeez, I was hoping you'd have those little fancy sausages on sticks and shit.
-
2019-07-30 at 5:57 PM UTCMaybe, if it was good.
