That is not how we do things here in the United States, and it just so happens that YES I do have what it takes to live off the land.
I have watched plenty of survival prepper videos on youtube and will just print out ebooks on survival living etc
The lifetime of gaming has prepared me for this as well -

You are wrong.
I have a very industrious spirit, I once created a fire out in the middle of the woods and cooked tomato soup over the flames.
Somebody was out spying on me with their camcorder, I could hear them walking around and I saw the light from their camcorder (hopefully it wasn't a gun ;_;).
If a real apocalyptic scenario happens the sane and rational people will form collectives and work towards survival together.
I really doubt people will turn to cannibalism ....

What is the current state of farming?
Surely it's not all tied to electronics/the grid?
What if the grid were to go down, surely they would have a backup plan.
Right now the US's biggest priority should be to build a system outside of electronics and the internet so that if the technological grid goes down it won't be the end of civilization. -

Also lots of farms are automated these days like dairies, most people at dairy farms have no idea how to milk a cow without machines -

Man .... collapse is going to come so soon
On one hand we need to tone things down and return to the 20th century way of living, on the other there are so many fleshbags coming into existence and they all need flesh to consume, so logistically in order to prevent collapse factories where flesh will be created without a living animal will come to be.
Certain technologies will be necessary in that sense, however for human society there needs to be a movement to promote life without screens and nonstop tech use.
There needs to be a balance.
