2019-07-23 at 12:26 AM UTCno, I have a friend who worked for RIOT (the guys who make League of Legends) a few years ago though, he had mostly good things to say about them.
I tried web development for a while and I don't think programming in general is a career I want outside of maybe embedded/microprocessor/robotics etc., and I'd probably have to go to university for that -

I worked for an early competitor of Blizzard who I won't name on a 1099 as contractor in the QA department. I won't name the company but I will say they were bought by EA and several of their titles are still "on the shelf". I don't know how they treated the rest of the departments but I know they shit on the test department. -

in my experience both QA and contractors tend to get shit on, contracting for QA probably got you caught in the cross-shit -
