2019-07-11 at 10:20 AM UTCYeah I would've been upset if I was an Apple fan when they removed the standard headphone jack

2019-07-11 at 10:24 AM UTCI found a nice blue tooth set up for my iPhone music in my car. Just press a button and it goes between phone and music. I like it. I love my driving music.

I keep thinking about getting into lossless music and such but I doubt I ever will, and if I do it still supports lossless formats even if the components are not top quality
The main reason I went with the ipod touch is work related. I would just use my phone for music, but where I work you get sent home without pay for being caught on a phone. They have a lot of proprietary hardware/blueprints there and don't want to risk people taking pictures of it. That and it's a distraction
We're allowed to have ipod touch though. So I can just turn on my phone's WiFi hotspot, throw it in my locker, connect the ipod to it and then it can do pretty much anything a phone can do. And it has 128gb storage
A family member gave me an ipod touch 4 back in 2012 so I'm already familiar with the way they work and imo iTunes is the best of the music organization/library apps. That ipod touch 4 finally broke though so this will be to replace it -

yeah, i was.
The adapter piece was like an extra $10 or so-- but then i just got a pair of cordless headphones- which is so nice not having a cord altogether.. 👍🏻 -
2019-07-11 at 12:10 PM UTCrob zombie is terrible but i can see that being an australian thing

2019-07-11 at 12:12 PM UTCI prefer corded headphones for the higher sound quality at lower cost, but I got sick of them getting caught on things at work and either getting ripped out of my ears or fraying so I generally use wireless as well
Still though, that headphone jack can't cost any more than a couple dollars for a phone manufacturer, I don't see why they got rid of it -

$$ for stupid little adapter doo-hicky! i had to buy like three of those little things because of my son losing them🤨
so, for his bday, i bought him a good pair of cordless, it was right before christmas so, i got a really good pair on sale for like $150. The sound quality is-- amaaaazing. Go to BestBuy sometime, juicebox, and check them out.👍🏻 i think you will be sold. Spend just a little more for a good quality pair, and they will last you.👍🏻☺️ -
2019-07-11 at 12:52 PM UTCI used to have an iPod shuffle with a lanyard, you could just hang it around your neck and plug in the headphones.
The next version of the iPod shuffle was clip on and had a touch screen.
Nowadays listening to music is a logistical undertaking. Technology has gone backwards in some ways. -
2019-07-11 at 1:39 PM UTCI just hum or whistle, it's free and the playlist is endless.

2019-07-11 at 1:42 PM UTCI just send letters in the mail instead of calling or texting anyone
It only costs 50 cents per message instead of the $80 per month of a phone plan
