First, they pick out some noble banner or other to fly themselves under, all righteous and pure and noble, but that's just the opening gambit, you see. It always is. But what they're really after is the power. They don't give two warm shits about any kiddy porn sites. They are just leveraging that, to shape and manufacture public opinion, while they entrench themselves and go for their power grabs. These are literal parasites of the worst kind. They want in, and they're gettin' in. They not only want it, they demand it. You'll have no choice. "Think of the kids!", while they make one of the biggest power grabs of all time. At least that's what they figure. But, sadly, it's not going to work out that way for them.

You see, the things like to do on computer do not require you to hide your identity when you're not engaging in them. It's like using dnm, yeah you gotta use TOR to use it but you don't have to use TOR Startpage for your general internet use. VPN is well enough.
I use to be a security nut, not giving any services my location or permission to use my data, etc. And then lately I said fuck it and gave permission to everyone who needs my info (not shady niggers); like google wants my location and personal data and where I drive to and what I look up basically? Fine. I don't fucking care. Letting Google use my location and PI makes my life so much easier, it's so much better than being a nut finding workarounds and not getting to use 21st century conveniences.
They aren't manually sifting through records like spectral says, they basically just use your search terms to tailor ads to you, and Google's way more privacy conscious than the government wants them to be. That doesn't mean they couldnt use your search terms to fuck you using AI analysis in the future, but it doesn't matter because the amount of web traffic makes arresting people off of "search term" impossible. -

Once that's done, they simply run "queries", at their leisure, which creates lists of targets, complete with names, addresses, phone numbers, places of employment, and everything else related to the target. All without even the need for a single warrant. It's not even a question that they already have everything there is to get on you, it's just a matter of if/when they decide to come get you.

Preparing a nutritious meal is almost always more tedious and time consuming than grabbing a burger at McDonalds, but you'll thank yourself when you're 50 and your arteries aren't full of plaque/the most powerful company in history doesn't have a fully comprehensive behavioural model of you.
And with DDG, searx, self-hosted 'cloud' storage, a wide variety of good paid email services, OSM, microG, and so forth, I'm not losing much by cutting out jedigle specifically. It may have taken a while to work out the kinks in my setup, but today it would be a major inconvenience and productivity hit to migrate it over to their botnet crap.
