why are so many journalists gay?

I know they are making a big deal about that queer being beat up by antifa but he is not the only gay journalist. it seems the profession is full of em and the only ones who make it or are successful have to be gay or part of a protected group. i mean look at Alex Wood from Forbes. Another example. oh and they all think theyre the hot shit. They all have inflated egos.
