also, in order to build the case they would be making a thorough investigation into the victim and his situation and mental capacity. certainly that would include checking any allegation that the encouragement was made because the victim was a pedophile. this would make a very strong mitigating circumstance and any findings that evolved from that investigation would subsequently be passed onto the relevant authorities in the victims location. the victim having attempted suicide would definitely not work as a defense for any sexually based prosecution toward himself as a result.

And I have a real job I have to be at on Monday - and he doesn't. So I lose so much more than he does.
