My broken foot hurts. Long term, should I walk more or less?

It seems to be soft tissue. Which is better, to walk more, and toughen up the tissue, or to walk less, and give the tissue time to recover?

Walk and strengthen up those muscles and tendons

I’d definitely get your doc’s opinion.

When it comes to my aches and pains, i believe that a body in motion, stays in motion!

    Less!
I didn't follow doctors advice and now I get to experience constant, slowly increasing pain that over the months grows more and more annoying and debilitating.
Don't do what I did unless you just wanted a reason for someone to look at you and have pitty on you.
I get away with doing a lot less shit by just saying "I don't think my arm is up to that" or saying "I don't think I can go jogging with you, my arthritis is acting up."
    Also, pain management doctors.

do light limited movement that doesnt hurt.

dont put weight in them until the swelling abeted,

the pain is like wet cement sign that your body puts up so that you dont mess with parts that's under construction.
