2019-06-09 at 12:52 PM UTCMake regs a lottery. Basically each time the reg appears, it only allows one registration and then closes. It randomly resets every 1-2 days and only shows up randomly to user sessions, so maybe you have a 1/30 chance when it resets that it begins showing on your session and the next person has 1/29... Etc.
Basically, you have to be there at the right time and also get lucky on the draw. Legit users will probably get to reg and infantcuck will be hard limited. -

People used really dumb passwords which are super easy to crack. Closing reg would only step things up another notch and make things even worse, with people suddenly losing access to their accounts and having to be banned for spam.

We've already been down this path with both Zoklet and Totse. Three times the charm? Once you start banning half the active accounts, the place becomes stagnant, people start to bitch, and the site ends up getting shut down entirely. Is it really worth it just to keep one account illegitimately banned? -

Lanny singled out infinityshock for harassment in the meat thread, just because he personally didn't like him. That's how all this started. Then a bunch of ass-kissers started indicating they didn't see a problem with it, so infinityshock then started fucking with them in every thread. Then Lanny used that as an excuse to ban infinityshock, just because he didn't personally like him, so infinityshock started fucking with Lanny, too. But instead of smoothing out the situation, like any good mod would do, Lanny doubled down, and then tripled down, so infinityshock decided to royally fuck with him. Now, Lanny has painted his own ego into a corner, and he's going to dump all the inevitable results of his shitty modding onto the general userbase and just disappear, using the "absent dictator" gambit as the excuse for his apparent abdication. Lanny's really good at starting shit, but really shitty at fixing his own fuckups. -

I can think of MLoR from Totse and that other mod from Zoklet who imploded, but it's extremely rare for a mod to get permabanned by his peers. And now he really thinks he's qualified to mod this board?? Ridiculous. He doesn't know shit about moderating a BBS like this, as is fully evidenced by this latest fiasco. At this point, he should resign as mod and remain Admin. Let aldra or I take over, because he sure as hell doesn't have a fucking clue what he is doing. But even aldra has this liberal bullshit mindset, to some extent. I would still let him have a go, just to see where it actually lands. Lanny has no business modding this BBS. He's literally like a bull in a China shop. No cooth. No style. No sense. Sure, it's great he put up the site and gave all the Totse holocaust survivors somewhere to rot, but that doesn't him make him a good mod. In fact, he's a very, very shitty mod, as fully evidenced in his latest bungling.
