You just don't understand the implications if he doesn't go. He lives with his mom and it would be hell if he didn't.
My parents came into town last Friday for a funeral and just hit me up out of the blue saying "hey we're in town for a funeral, wanna hang?" no notice at all. I told them I was sick because I was. They kinda gave me the cold shoulder over it. But that isn't my fault they new ahead of time they were coming here.
I love them but still. I just don't like people randomly showing up at my door and shit like that. Like what If I was busy or something? -

Though that was nice for your mother to get tickets for you. My mom told me last year she would hang with me for my bday and didn't and this year she said she will see a movie with me, and that will be cool but I highly doubt they will make a trip down here just for that. When I hurt myself last month they offered to come see me, but I felt like shit and didn't even want to go outside. Plus my place was fucked up and they'd probably just find something to bitch about and get upset for coming all this way lol
They used to live in the next town over after the moved away from Austin, but their house burned down in a wild fire and now they live like 6 hours away so it would be a hassle going to see them and be around them that long.
When they lived in the next town all I had to do was just leave when they started getting annoying / bickering over bs at each other.
Like last time I spent xmas with them I went out to see them and hadn't seen them in a long time and my mom was cooking and bitching about something trivial how my dad didn't put a pan or something in the oven to catch the grease.. and my dad was just sitting there ignoring her drinking wine. After 3 glasses he got really annoying and frothy bitching about how I don't want to move to the country with them and my mom had to tell him that I'm still a young man and like doing things in Austin.
It's geeeez looo eeez I just wanted to hangout a bit for xmas... -
