Here is the deal, it's fine to believe if you wish to, but there is quite a difference in saying "OMFG IT'S ALIENS! IT'S AN ALIEN SPACESHIP" than saying "hmmm that is very strange, it COULD be aliens visiting though there is actual zero solid evidence of that, or it could simply be a natural or man made phenomenon we don't know about"...THAT's what being open minded means...saying "ITS ALIENS FO SHO" isn't being open minded....making claims the simplest solution is aliens is being biased and nuts when clearly the simplest explanations are always those that involve knowns, not unknowns...aka lying, equipment failure, etc etc.
That's why UFO nuts are not believed, they are not open minded, they are 100% closed minded to their agenda...show me proof aliens are visiting us and I'll be the first one to go "OFMG I JUST CAME IN MY KNITTED BOXERS"...until I see it..and I've read/seen a lot of shit...I wont.
Again an unidentified craft is just that...unidentified...I've even been with an idiot who pointed to Venus and freaked out claiming it was an alien spacecraft even though I pointed out it was fucking Venus to them...I'm sure years later they still regale people with the time they saw a UFO and have probably embellished the story now to include "I could see the aliens in the windows!"...because that's what humans do, they tell stories and like a good story. -

look at the headline of this OP...UFO's are real according to US Navy" ...well yes again of course they are real...but the statement in NO WAY implies they are alien or that the US Navy admitted they are alien. An unidentified Russian drone would/could be deemed a UFO.
Now...
The UFO nuts are happy to jump all over that and try and make it something it's not...that a US gov agency admitted "It's aliens man!" when clearly they didn't...it's called twisting the truth to fit your/their agenda.
If the same US NAVY came out and said "Hey, we identified it, it was a fucking duck" those same nuts would probably accuse the US Navy of a "coverup"...because it doesn't meet their agenda.

I believe you are certainly close-minded and heavily biased and go in with preconceived beliefs. If you can take into account the testimony of those trained professionals, the data, and all they did to rule out system error, and then dismiss it all as just nothing, that proves beyond all doubt there is no preponderance of the evidence whatsoever, as far as you are concerned. -

Not only is it super bright, it sits low on the horizon. I've known it was venus and been really stoned in my parents old backyard and just totally unable to shake the idea that it was a UFO lol. -

Of course, there are countless cases where a reported UFO was discovered to be identifiable, ducks/planes/helicopter/rocket launches (remember that one that was all over the news a few years ago that turned out to be a missile test?...here's a fucking pic of it.
