Zoklet, the cast AP putty on a slope with half inch ball bearings for MAX PAYNE. The total weight of the explosive would reach 500g at a minimum. The killer here are the ball bearings, the slope is for distribution among a set angle. I would calculate the angle i would need for the ball bearings to hit the chest/head area. It's pretty easy too once you take into regard how a package is usually opened. Just make sure the top/lid only open from one side. So teh victim is ensured to get a hot load of steel in their face as they open the box. 1kg would probably be enough to blow someones arms and head clean off though. No joke. -
