Just me? My brother and I got one for Christmas when I was about 6. It came with both "The Duke" controller (huge one), and the smaller, more ergo-friendly controller, although I liked both of them. Other than the awesome loading screen and cool black and green colour schemes, I liked how we never needed a memory card even though we had like 2 dozen games. Getting a playstation 2 and gamecube later on, the constant memory card shit pissed me off.
The exclusives were pretty cool too, although I only played like 3 missions of Halo 1, which was the coolest thing ever, as well as about 1/3 of GTA 3 until mi okaasa took those games away.

Couldn’t really justify the cost when it could have went towards a PC instead

I had one for a while. Farcry: Primal on it was really good and I loved the matrix game too.

Looking back on it though the only games that actually stick out are like… Fable: The Lost Chapters and Halo 1 and 2.
Oh right, instincts. Primal was that more recent one with dinos. Yeah, that game was dank, it also captured the "fight for your life, become a jungle dwelling murder machine" kind of thing that made 3 good.

I liked farcry map editor with my friends. We would each take turns making bases. Drive the cargo truck with a bunch of remote bombs in the back to my friends base and convince him to get in the truck with me so we can raid the others then I drive to their base, jump out at the last second and kill everyone except me.
Also epic races down giant mountains and stuff. Nothing was that good for splitscreen until halo 3 forge came out.
