My new methodology is to vote only for the smallest parties with the narrowest goals, regardless of whether I agree with them or not. I'm hoping they can cause chaos with the status quo and jam up parliament with their insane, autistic single issues.

Oh yeah, voting is mandatory in Australia.
I generally don't bother voting at all. I find it compromises my objectivity and gives me a false sense of investment in the system.

2016 was the first time I've ever voted because I know the whole thing is a farce, but I thought Trump would be different because he was an outsider and self-funded

yeah I can't really afford to throw away the $80 or whatever the spastic fine is nowadays at the moment. I used to just draw pictures or write threats on the paper but I figured this might be a little more productive.

i dont understand how people can consider mandatory voting is freedom to vote.
if your not free to vote not to vote, then you have no freedom in voting.
if i were an asstralian id setup a no mandatory vote party.
