That meme merely states that Trump does not want to deal with a real war abroad, it’d ruin him being re-elected; but he’s more than happy to start a war against abortion, a move that his base* will love.

I get what they're trying to say I guess, but sometimes what the comic reveals about how the artist thinks than just the message they're trying to convey. I mean:
on the face of it it's just claiming that Trump is misusing the military, but when you look at the message being conveyed... Is the artist so out of touch that he believes people (typically) join the military to fight foreign wars for foreign and economic interests, against enemies that pose no threat to their home? The reason that comic got so much attention was because what it said about the 'establishment' mindset was far more revealing than the jab at Trump and immigration policy.

That's what he says, but his actions nudge us ever closer. When he says he doesn't want war, what he really seems to mean is that he wants the Iranian state to collapse without having to send soldiers to die in order to make it happen.

I don't trust any opinion polls really, but I'd doubt he'd win another term on his own merits. He essentially abandoned his base to appease people that will never vote for him... I guess it's possible that the Democrats have split the vote too hard to beat him though.

Absolutely, but he also has the power to tell them to stop. Judging by his previous rhetoric (which I know is unwise considering he'll say anything for no reason at all), he really hates what Iran represents and would have no problem attacking if it didn't mean disaster for him and the US - even if there was a fast, decisive victory.

I think it's hard to argue against Je'wish interests being dramatically overrepresented in US politics, often to the exclusion of domestic US interests... Especially when you consider they're only something like 2% of the population. Some theories are more rational than others, but just off the top of my head:
- AIPAC is a single-issue pro-israel lobby group and the most powerful in Washington - even before you try to calculate their 'secondary influence' in connecting politicians to private donors as opposed to sponsoring them directly.
- The US has vetoed EVERY UN resolution against israel since its inception with the exception of a mild one under Obama.
- Several states force public sector workers to sign contracts stating they hold israel in high esteem and will not work or speak out against them.
- Several other states have either banned or proposed banning any group that aims to boycott or sanction israel for any reason, including their severe and documented 'human rights abuses'.
- israel is BY FAR the biggest US welfare recipient.
If you want a real-time example, have a look at how smoothly and quietly ANY bill that benefits israel slips through Congress and the Senate - and compare the complete lack of opposition to almost any other bill,

I’ve gone my entire life as a Roman Catholic girl without a thought of j3wish influence on America, ever. It’s not a discussion among people I’ve met, and trust me, I’ve been highly social all my life. Never heard a person talk about J3ws as evil people till I came here. This is not something the average American cares about. Sure, white nationalists discuss hatred of J3ws, but I don’t know any white nationalists.
Aldra I’ve also noticed that you have a more rational disdain for the J3ws, but you are biased to an extent. I say “to an extent” because you are a rational thinker.
Having said that, I didn’t know about the AIPAC till about 2 years ago. I’ve done some research about their political influence, and I am perplexed by the whole thing. Why do they have this influence?, I ask myself. My only answer is the all mighty dollar.

Yeah people say jedis are mean with their money, but actually they are huge donors to all sorts of causes (largely, but not solely in order to buy influence). Its hard to compete with money.
