What is your opinion on the US going to war with Iran? Do you think it’s inevitable? I need your expertise!
Thank you in advance 😁

Very likely, all the pieces are in place. The biggest risk at the moment is
another israeli false flag attack to try and draw the US into open conflict, especially considering how Bolton is moving carrier groups about based on vague Mossad 'intelligence'.
I've been compiling information on this, will make a proper thread soon.

The government just issued a letter telling everyone to get out of Iraq, including the embassy. Things are ramping up dammit.

letters cost almost nothing to write.

I’m partially wrong, they asked nonessential workers at the embassy to leave; but no travel to Iraq, and Americans told to get out.

The basic gist of what's going on seems to be that the US does not want open warfare with Iran because regardless of the outcome, the petrodollar implodes and the entire middle east dissolves into instability.
They're trying as hard as possible to bully Iran into complying with the unilateral oil and nuclear embargo, but Iran cannot and will not comply because their existence as an independent state is at stake. At the moment it's a stalemate with neither side willing to fire the first shot or back down, but there are plenty of elements who desire war with Iran so as I said, the biggest risk is a false flag attack against US or allied ships similar to the Gulf of Tonkin or the aforementioned USS Liberty incident.
The most likely cuplrits will either be israeli or US intelligence agencies - US leadership has already demonstrated they're willing to take dramatic military action based on vague Mossad intel, and the neoconservatives attached to the Military Industrial Complex (who see huge profits in a new war, as well as a dangerously unrealistic view of their own superiority) have their tentacles all through the CIA.

You have no idea how bad it feels to be on the wrong side of this
Nothing I can do though, other than try to reason with people "on the ground" but, care to guess how many people I've managed to convince so far?

if/when it starts up, Australia's going to be one of the first in line to join the party so I think we're probably in the same boat.
I'm going to start doing kegel exercises so I can tear the feeding tube apart when they try to ram it in

Yeah, I feel like if there is a US civil war at some point it'll rapidly devolve into fractal factions blasting each other rather than 'militias' or any other organised groups.

Aldra,
I appreciate your info. It’s good getting an outsiders view. I’m hating this.
Gotta run to work😩

http://thesaker.is/one of my favourite sites for counter-mainstream geopolitics. The guy who runs it is in ex-soviet military analyst who now lives in the US, and they cross-post a lot of articles from other (mostly) very good analysts.
http://www.unz.com/ is good too, but tends to be more hit and miss because as I understand it anyone can submit an article as long as it meets writing quality standards.
https://southfront.org/ is more like a traditional news site as it doesn't centre around long-form articles and analyses, but relies heavily on social media and sources in the field so it's worth being skeptical and not taking their claims at face value. Which really applies to anything I guess, I just mean they're more likely to pick up rumours and unverified info in order to be first to bring it to the fore.

Irans economy is expected to contract by 6% and inflation is expected to his 37%. Iran is in rough shape and would get mopped by Togo rn. Inconsequential thread and question
What I really want to know from aldra is what the fuck is going on with the duck billed platypus? What kind of unearthly abomination is it? Are they real? Does he have one as a pet? Did they evolve to be like that or did Kylie minogue fuck a beaver? Inquiring mind need to know
