my apartment is totally fucked
-
2016-12-05 at 11:06 PM UTCAfter a couple years of being treated like the hotel room in fear and loathing, the shit is all fucked up. I already know I'm not getting my security deposit back. The fuckin shower curtain holder is falling out of the ceiling, one of my sinks doesn't work, and my kitchen counters are peeling off. The windows are stuck open. There's also bleach and blood stains on the carpet from cleaning and an injury sustained after tweaking for 4 days and then I was too fucked on heroin and k-pins to clean it up. Anyways I just emailed my landlord about most of that shit (the shower fixture, kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and a hole in the bathroom floor that the maintenance guys cut out last time they came around) to get it fixed, do you think I'll get kicked out or what?

2016-12-06 at 12:06 AM UTCI would've just kept it a secret until you moved out.

I thought about that but it's getting intolerable since everything's broken, and I'm about to have a month long break from school in which I can move if necessary. Also my friend told me they had a similar situation, and didn't say shit until they moved out, and they had to pay for it. Although it just came out of their security deposit, which mine is good as gone anyways. -

why would you get kicked out? you're on the lease right? why would you get kicked out for something the maintenance guys did? plus carpets get fucked up.. thats why whenever someone leaves regardless how long they had been there, they refurbish errrrthing.
Maybe you shouldn't of asked for everything to be fixed all at once after two years of being there, but ask for things as they happen, you derpadew.
Wear and tear is to be expected and I'm sure you're far from the only fuck up tenant (hopefully you pay your rent on time and aren't a menace to the other neighbors, this all plays a factor)
I've lived at my place for four years and I thought my place was fucked up from me being lazy and dopin' it up.
Man like my shower was really fucked up because of just old materials and that and the cops kicked down my door a few winters ago and arrested me right after my shower broke..., so I was in jail for a month and a half and it really fucked the molding in the shower up pretty bad and no matter what I did I couldn't get it clean. So they came and put some badass tiling in my shower. It looks great.
But yeah my carpet is definitely fucked, but I don't want them to mess with it right now, until I can feel comfortable setting aside time to not be at my place whle they do that.
Other than that, I've got them to replace my fans (they were already really old fans, but because of my shower being on for two weeks straight while I was in jail, they drooped down like dying flower pedals)
If you pay rent and shit, no offense, but you should quit being such a cuck and ask them to fix stuff. That or go buy some land and a trailer and not worry, or buy a condo and pay an annual fee for your screw ups.
And most likely no matter what, you're going to lose your deposit, so why not get them to fix your situation while you're there?

Understandable. I've chalked my deposit up as a loss even though I really haven't damaged anything in my apartment other than my towel bar but I can't imagine that costs $500 to replace. I have one little cig burn on my carpet in the corner of the living room and that's about it for damage. Everything else can be cleaned and I actually did a deep clean of sorts the other day so I'm sitting pretty good there. The main thing I'm avoiding is my oven which is pretty fucking bad (I haven't cleaned it once since I moved in 15 months ago and I make a lot of frozen shit in the oven, drunkenly). I'm not too worried about it though having worked in kitchens I know how dirty ovens can be and they still don't take too long to clean with the right chemicals.
I'd like to get my deposit back but I always assume the landlords are jedis and will make up any reason not to. -

Yea I really should have said something earlier but I was all fucked up on drugs and haven't really gotten straight(er) til recently, and I just didn't want people around or in my apartment at all because I was tweaking out all the time and shit.
I don't know why you think this is a troll attempt...I don't know anyone who would be mad about that. -

Yea, lol, I fully intended on using up the entire deposit when I moved in. Well maybe not so much intended to, but I knew I wasn't going to get it back, I fuck up pretty much everything I own eventually. -

i never said it was a troll attempt on your part. Just strange how you can be a student and do all those drugs yet can pay your rent and not get your place fixed by a simple phone call... i mean you can't put up your drug for a couple hours... i doubt your nose is constantly to a mirror.. i mean if it is.. then you have a lot worse problems than caring about how bad your shitty place looks. Plus most maintenance guys dgaf is your high.. lol -

he pays rent... he shouldn't have to pay for repairs.. evidently he's too stupid to do that so why do you think he has the money to pay for repairs himself? i mean for christ sakes he has his own apartment yet is asking niggasinspace for advice... -

i mean seriously theres been like an onslaught of smacktarded questions on here recently like "how do i get a dude to pay me for his baby mammers addie!"

What? Like every rental agreement ever requires the tenant to pay for damages they caused beyond normal wear. He's going to have to pay for repairs at some point, he might as well do it before he moves out so at least he'll be able to enjoy the money spend somewhat rather than just paying for the next guy to have a livable apartment. -

it depends what repairs.. and in a lot of states you can get repairs done to things while you're living there. its when you move out is what makes the difference.
if you read is post, he said he's asking for maintenance to come fix his place.. and he's afraid of that getting him kicked out... over that.. which he shouldn't be. maintenance work doesn't equate to damages. I can tell you've never had your own flat lanny.
Say owning a cat and not paying a pet deposit, yeah thats on him..
his sink not working is not his fault... thats on the landlords, he's entitled to have a working sink..
maintenance guys putting a hole in his bathroom floor and not fixing it, isn't his fault
windows being stuck open.. thats something the landlord should get fixed.. windows shouldn't be stuck open *unless they can tell he rubber cemented them open lol
he's living like a nigger for no reason and you're not helping him at all but saying "ahhh well he dozen't have a werking sink! datz damagez! he needs to pay!"
like say his AC went out, or his power box outside went out.. are you going to say he should have to pay for those too?
You're one cracked cucked lanny, i bet you'd suck off your land lord after he kicked you out and then thank him for letting you live there...

It's more that I was just paranoid all the time and also didn't feel like talking to anyone. I get really weird and sweaty on stims so I don't like interacting with people. This was also over the summer when I had nothing to do, I haven't done any stimulants or benzos or any bullshit like that in a good 4 or 5 months now.
Some of it's my fault and some of it is just the building I guess. I already emailed him though so we'll see what he says. Now I'm stoned and kind of thinking that was a bad idea.

you need to chill out bud. You'll be fine. You're not the only guy getting stoned in your apt. I have multiple neighbors and I live in a *nice neighborhood* that sell weed and there place reeks of sticky icky 24/7 and no one is going to say anything.
plus I'm sure your maintenance guy probably smokes weed or has before..
though you're probably fucked on the carpet for sure as most tenants are. But the sink and the windows, especially well.. anytime of year is something that needs to get taken care of. Even the tweakiest of tweakers want a sink and a window that works.
Plus you could always look up how to fix stuff on youtube.
I'm not trying to be a jerk, just trying to wrap my head around the situation -
2016-12-06 at 7:10 PM UTCUPDATE:
well, my landlord emailed me back and just said he's gonna have the maintenance people contact me to fix it. of course i didn't mention the bleached and bloodied carpets or anything. sounds like he doesn't really care much though, which is good for me
