    Ok, I'm neither a medically trained psychiatrist nor a clinical psychologist, but what you just described is TEXTBOOK clinical depression.

    In all seriousness, if you're being for real (and also taking into account your thread about your post-suicide wishes), get help ASAP.

    Brother, appreciate the response, but I've had a psychiatrist for years, and I've been a Big Pharma lab rat for years.... yes, that is my diagnosis. But the help is not working.

    Fair enough.

    In fact, I didn't even necessarily mean psychiatry.

    There are ways one can improve their life without having to take pills.

    Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is something that requires no prescription, and has the power to change lives in dramatically beneficial ways.

    It's a strong word that aptly describes an extreme situation. The cumulative effect of 20 years of depressive drug abuse has got me at damn near rock bottom. The will to fight further is gone. At this point, I'm living for others who love me. What happens when I don't want to do that anymore?

    At least you haven't crossed the threshold where you don't even care about the reverberating effect your death would cause on those around you.

    Preventing the grief of loved ones is not even remotely a barrier to me killing myself.

    At least you still have people that you clearly care about.

    Take it all as a sign that you aren't completely unsalvageable.

    Just know that life sucks some times. It can suck really fucking hard.

    But also remember the good times you've had.

    Everyone has positive experiences to reminisce about.

    That's what I bring to mind when I feel especially desolate.
