Is there anyone you can actually trust to keep a secret?
Sometimes I wonder, if I ever wanted to go into business with someone, how that could never happen because everyone I know, and everyone I've ever met, has a big fuckin' mouth.
I've had so many people admit shit to me, while saying, "you have to promise not tell anyone! The person who told me to keep it a secret would kill me if they found out!" Well that's great you told me that secret, but now I know you're an untrustworthy piece of shit.

So by business you mean selling drugs.

You could trust me, unless you crossed me or I wanted to fuck you over for my own amusement, if I wouldn't face serious repercussions.
At this point in my life I literally don't speak to anyone unless necessary. I'm probably averaging less than 10 words a month to the odd cashier or bank teller.

What about DaGuru?
I don't trust anyone. Period. DaGuru included. You would be wise to do the same. Trusting anyone other than yourself is merely setting yourself up for trouble.

People in places with a high IQ average, the average is 110 at best. They are still technically stupid compared to the people running businesses and governments, so no I don't trust anyone. Not to mention the Milgram electro shock experiment results. Humanity will evolve in a few thousand years to be less cringe worthy, and I'll be there waiting.

Yes and no. Trust is not binary, on or off. You know what information you give to whom for what reason, understand how it could propagate, and you predict the effects. That's all trust is: having faith that you know how they will behave.
I have trust in my ability to judge people. I trust them to behave as I think they ought to behave. That manifests in ways where you don't trust the person in the ordinary sense. For example I trust that someone who I judge to be in it for self interest will act in self interest. So if you tell them something that it would be opportune for them to divulge, they will divulge it, and conversely they won't divulge it when balanced against their self interest. You can count on that. They can be a useful store of information. They can also be an exceptional vector for misinformation. You can count on that. That's what trust is.

Since this thread got bumped. If you are having trouble trusting someone to go into business with, just acquire compromising material on them. Proceed to enforce their silence by blackmailing them.
