How to save energy and money

    freeze a gallon of water in your fridge, then put it in your fridgerator. and swap it out every week will save you 100's

    It's still going to take electrical energy to remove the thermal energy from anything you put in the fridge. It won't have to use much to remove thermal energy from a block of ice, but it's still going to have to take energy from the other stuff.


    EDIT: The ice will remove some thermal energy from the stuff near it, but it has to be in close proximity to it for one, and the other thing is, any thermal energy the ice removes will be negated by the amount of electrical energy required to remove thermal energy from the ice.

    So, this isn't going to work.
